Connection & Advocacy

Description: Reporting to the VP – Finance, the Director of Accounting works as a member of the Finance management team and is accountable for the fiscal oversight  of the Agency including financial reporting, audits, payroll, post-award grant  administration and compliance, and internal controls. This position also provides administrative services in alignment with the mission, supports the agency’s values of diversity, equity, inclusion and provides leadership to the team of staff with accounting, payroll, and compliance responsibilities toward promoting a high-performing, effective, collaborative, diverse, and engaged team. 

Preferred combination of education and relevant experience:  Graduate degree in business, finance or related field and/or CPA designation, 5 or more years of experience working in the nonprofit, social services sector, and team leadership and supervisory experience.   

Other Requirements:  Proven financial, accounting and budgeting skills, demonstrated ability to manage grant compliance in accordance with Single Audi and MAAP requirements; solid understanding of internal control structures and strong fiscal reporting skills. 

Compensation: Exempt, salaried position offers competitive compensation, as well as generous insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan benefits including:

160 hours vacation; 96 hours sick time; 16 hours personal time; 12 paid holidays.
